Park to Pro are delighted to confirm, that we will be implementing the Cruyff football methodology via an online platform, for the 2021/22 season.
Using positioning, possession and pressing as it’s main 3 pillars, the coaching tool can be highly effective in implementing ‘how’ you wish to play football. Alongside learning ‘what’ specifics are throughout the season, the training centre will now have a recognised identity, which will give us clearer objectives to work to.
The platform itself is owned and managed by Albert Capellas, who is the current assistant academy manager, at FC Barcelona. He has a world class CV, with many previous positions at some of the worlds most famous football club’s. From years of previous experience and the collation of knowledge, Albert is now sharing what he knows through his website possessionfootball.com where coaches can learn the Cruyff football methodology.
Adam said; “I was recently put in touch with Albert through a colleague and after having discussions with him, it wasn’t hard at all to come to the decision of implementing this tool, for the upcoming season. All of our coaches will have access to this online platform where they will be learning from one of the most decorated coaches in world football, who personally learnt off Johan Cruyff. There are lots of exercises, video clips and seminars for our coaches to utilise, which can only benefit our players.”
He added; “This addition to Park to Pro is a huge one, as we now have an identity of ‘how’ we wish to play the game. During the recent lockdown periods and having plenty of time to reflect, it’s apparent that there aren’t many set up’s that have an identity, that they believe in, or wish to work to. Using this approach, we can now objectively analyse individual performances within a team context and the impact they have during training/games. I’m delighted to be able to have this in place for the upcoming season”.
Alongside using this tool, the Park to Pro coaching team will also be enrolled on to the mentorship programme, that is available to the wider public. Having world class CPD on a regular basis will allow our coaches to improve their understanding of the game, which will allow are players to learn further.
