Football course debrief

The conclusion of our first football summer course, has taken place. This past week our players took part in plenty of fun and learning, with a focus on self reflection, where they regularly logged their progress against targets.

During the week we focused on all playing positions and the four moments of the game, with around 16 training sessions taking place, alongside theory workshops. All of the players were also treated to Q & A’s with professionals who helped them with their questions. We were lucky to have Andy Maciel and Paul Jones in attendance on Monday, who executed a session based on the Cruyff methodology. On Thursday, we had the pleasure of welcoming QPR’s Albert Adomah onto the course, who gave a great chat to all of the children about making it as professional, from non-league.

Adam said; “This course was the best one yet, with some great football on show. All of the children were very well behaved and took part in every minute. The theory workshops were extremely interactive and I was delighted to see children as young as 6 contributing. We had a strong focus on reflection and allowing the children to experience things first, before asking for their feedback. I hope that all of the children who attended, now practice this good work in the vicinity of their own homes and improve their game”.

Our next instalment of the summer football course will be taking place on Monday 23rd August – Friday 27th August, at St.Georges School, Ascot. For further information please email info@parktopro.com
