Today we continued our fine work and practice, focusing on the theme of decision making, involving all players (GK’s and out field).
The morning got off to a flying start with a focus on the collapse save and diving low to the corners of the goal. We then progressed into 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 practises, focusing specifically on creating goalscoring opportunities.
So far, the work and application of all children has been excellent, with all of their goalkeeping improving.
Tomorrow the focus continues on goalkeeping and an overall objective of transitioning to defence. We will also have our first guest in attendance, from a Premier League Club!
Our October Football Course got underway today at our exclusive venue, St.Georges School, in Ascot. The objective for this week is to improve all of our players ‘decision making’, with all training sessions designed to enhance this end goal.
For this edition we have a specific GK coach in attendance, who is assisting all players in this position and the impact it can have outfield.
The theme for today was attacking – specifically building up, with many different techniques used by GK’s and how this can assist the team. There were hundreds of great saves today as well as distribution, that enhanced the respective team’s attacks’.
Tomorrow the GK sessions continue alongside our them of, ‘creating goalscoring opportunities’.

We have a new company partner to announce, who will be joining forces with Park to Pro with immediate effect.
Introducing to you, Ellevate Football – the all in one football training platform helping young players from all levels improve their skills, track progress and realise their potential both on and off the pitch. Their mission is simple, to ‘level the playing field’ by offering equal opportunities to all players within the game, regardless of gender, race or background.
Within Ellevate, players will have access to a host of exciting features that will develop them holistically including, training with some of the biggest and brightest names in football, carefully curated editorials and customisable profiles; creating a one stop shop for all their footballing needs.
They have also partnered with some of the biggest and most recognisable brands in the UK including Sports Direct and MGP Nutrition, to provide their users with exclusive offers and discounts to assist them on their journey.
The security and safety of users is of the upmost importance to Ellevate and as a result they have in place comprehensive security checks to protect players and their data to ensure a safe, accepting environment, where young players can thrive.
Through the partnership with Park to Pro, Ellevate will be able to encourage mass participation and promote grassroots football within the community by enabling clubs, teams and academies to educate and grow their players.
Head of player & coach development at Park to Pro, Adam Clark, said; “I’m delighted to have Ellevate football as our latest company partner. They are offering a very unique service to the football world and one that I haven’t seen before. The app has many different benefits and with technology improving at a rapid rate, this is ahead of it’s time, in the fact that scouts/clubs/agents can view players at a click of a finger”.
Owner of Ellevate, Akshay Lugani, added; “Through our partnership with Park to Pro, Ellevate will be able to encourage mass participation and promote grassroots football within the community by enabling clubs, teams and academies to educate and grow their players”.
Our head of player & coach development, Adam Clark, is delighted to share some news on his new role outside of Park to Pro. From October, Adam will be mentoring 10 coaches from Finland, Sweden and Estonia for Football Coach Evolution.
There will be a number of topics covered throughout the programme, involving football tactics, football fitness and coaching youth football, to name a few.
The mentoring will involve high levels of communication and clear explanations, as for some, English won’t be their native mother tongue.
Adam has studied on this pathway since 2016 and is now looking forward to further challenging himself, with this new role. The cohort of coaches will meet once per month, where Adam and his colleague Akusti Salonen, will answer the most frequently asked questions.
He said; “This opportunity was granted through FCE (Football Coach Evolution) and it’s owner, Raymond Verheijen, due to the participation in another course I’m taking part in. As a delegate on the highest level of education he offers, there was an opportunity to mentor coaches elsewhere on the pathway, which I couldn’t refuse. I’m really looking forward to stepping out of the comfort zone once again and furthering my knowledge”.
There will be updates throughout the course from Adam, on how he is finding the experience in mentoring other coaches from overseas.
The summer is now over and what a good time we had! The 2nd edition of our, ‘reflecting on your own performance’, came to an end today at our venue in Ascot. St Georges School hosted both weeks of our course on the fantastic playing surface, that they have available.
Throughout the week, all of our players were taken on a journey through a theoretical starting point of the game with defending, attacking and both transitions getting attention. Alongside this, there was plenty of time for discussion and Q & A sessions.
Adam said, “It was a great summer and we were lucky enough to have interacted with so many well behaved children, which makes the difference. From the first day, until today, there was learning taking place and the progression in all of the players, was excellent to see. I’d like to place on record my thanks to our hosts, staff, guests, parents and of course, the children. It was a successful summer and one that will be remembered”.
Our next course will be taking place in October (Monday 25th – Friday 29th), with a theme of, ‘Developing decision making’. Further information for this course will be available on Friday 3rd September.
