Today saw the conclusion of our fifth edition of the Park to Pro football courses. This week the focus was on decision making, which is a huge part of the game. There were 19 training sessions throughout the week looking at this, using GK and outfield sessions. It was great to see the application from all of the players throughout, in learning much more about the game.
Due to the weather today, our sessions took place inside the stunning sports hall at St.Georges School. There was a high emphasis on ball manipulation within over load and under load situations, then finishing with a 2 vs 2 tournament.
This past week has been a huge success and plans for the next addition, looking at team communication, are already underway. There will be further information on this course, in the near future.
Thank you for all those that attended, it was a pleasure to have you with us!

Our October football course is nearing it’s ending and what a week it’s been so far. There’s been consistent attendance from a large amount of children throughout the week and this has enabled us to observe some magnificent work.
Today we continued with our theme of decision making and worked within the moment of, preventing goalscoring opportunities. We had a high demand of interest in the goalkeeper position which was great to see, as well as plenty of attackers ready to test them!
Tomorrow the weather doesn’t look too great, so we have a day of Futsal planned, as well as outside training sessions, if the weather decides not to turn up.
We’re looking forward to concluding the week on a high and to finish our 5th edition of the Park to Pro holiday courses!

We crossed the midway point for this week and we celebrated by welcoming our guest, from Brentford Football Club. Roco Rees came in to visit our players and host a Q and A, about playing football professionally.
There was plenty of discussion about goalkeeping, as this is Roco’s playing position and our theme for the week.
On the field all players were taken through some extended exercises involving shot stopping as well as, pressing the ball upon possession being lost.
So far, the week has been a hugely successful one, with players attempting to make effective decisions that can impact team performance, as well as understanding the GK position further.
Tomorrow we will be continuing from where we left off today and will be looking at preventing goals!

Today we continued our fine work and practice, focusing on the theme of decision making, involving all players (GK’s and out field).
The morning got off to a flying start with a focus on the collapse save and diving low to the corners of the goal. We then progressed into 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 practises, focusing specifically on creating goalscoring opportunities.
So far, the work and application of all children has been excellent, with all of their goalkeeping improving.
Tomorrow the focus continues on goalkeeping and an overall objective of transitioning to defence. We will also have our first guest in attendance, from a Premier League Club!

Our October Football Course got underway today at our exclusive venue, St.Georges School, in Ascot. The objective for this week is to improve all of our players ‘decision making’, with all training sessions designed to enhance this end goal.
For this edition we have a specific GK coach in attendance, who is assisting all players in this position and the impact it can have outfield.
The theme for today was attacking – specifically building up, with many different techniques used by GK’s and how this can assist the team. There were hundreds of great saves today as well as distribution, that enhanced the respective team’s attacks’.
Tomorrow the GK sessions continue alongside our them of, ‘creating goalscoring opportunities’.
