After the news we bought you last week regarding the implementation of the Cruyff methodology with our training centre, we will now explain how this will work.
Each week our coaching team will design a training situation that our players will learn from, while taking into account all of the external factors. These factors could be the amount of players present, the weather and what the objective of the session entails, for example. Each and every player is different, thus meaning our session planning has to be of the highest order.
The new platform that we have exclusive access to, stores over 200 videos, 400 training sessions and numerous other resources (ranging from webinars and information on systems of play). The purpose? To assist and inspire our coaches in training session design, while also learning this style of play. While it is very tempting to copy and paste what is online, it’s vital that we consider the playing abilities of all our players and as mentioned, the external factors.
Having this style of training implemented will allow us to objectively analyse performance, as well as highlighting incompetencies with our players. Why is this a good thing? Once an incompetence has been highlighted, our coaching team can come up with a solution to help this player and guide the learning process. If players are too comfortable in training or rarely challenged, their performance won’t be overloaded and they will merely cruise through the foundation years on auto pilot. Our job at Park to Pro is to help every player improve and reach their personal improvement goals, through our training structure.
We are fully invested in using this new new platform, which will be a huge learning process for all involved. Upon successful application, it will then be down to the respective player in question to adapt and learn these new methods, which will almost certainly improve their game.
We’re hugely excited, we hope you are too!!
